Thanks to all of you, we are ready to unleash the You Matter Magic into the world.Because my excitement can’t be contained, I’ll be hosting my first everlive Facebook post at 7pm EST tonight to personally thank you for your participation.
We know many of you have been giving great thought to who you will share your first few cards with. Here’s what 2 of our YuMMies are planning:
“I work in secondary education teaching English as a foreign language, so I have plenty of people to encourage.
My first card will be given to one of our pupils. He’s been in a wheelchair pretty much his whole life and he’s constantly in pain. In a month’s time he will go in for another operation and a long stay in hospital. He’ll be away from home for several months.”
-Annaleis, the Netherlands
“My second card will be for a man who works outside every day for very little money: he is selling The Big Issue, a magazine that helps homeless people. He always has a smile ready on his face and likes chatting.”
-Helen, Wales
Our Community
The YMM now has 25,264 of participants, and 186 Ambassador organizations from all 50 states, and 23 countries. Some new Ambassador organizations include: The Kimble Group, LLC, Cherry Laurel Retirement Community, and AGSM@UNSW Business School.
What You Can Do Now
- Post your pictures, short videos, and stories in our Facebook group or in our Guestbook. We love hearing from you!
- It’s not too late to invite a school, community group, place of worship, or company to join the YMM as an Ambassador. Just send them to our website.
- The cards are yours to share as you will. You can share 1 a day during the month, or a few each day until you run out. Trust yourself and the moment.
- If you want to give out more than 30 cards during November, click here to purchase You Matter cards (use discount code THANKS20), or print your own cards using this template.
- Track the # of extra cards you share so we can apply that # towards our goal of giving out 1 Million cards.
- ENJOY!
