You Matter Marathon Update
Dear YuMMies (my term of endearment for You Matter Marathoners!):
What a spectacular week for the You Matter Marathon!
Highlights:
- We tripled the # of participants since last Friday!
- We added our 50th US state – Alaska! (Thank you, Sean Prince and Bartlett High School!)
- We’ve added 10 new countries bringing our total to 50! We have participants in such places as Japan, Iceland, Trinidad, Scotland, Mexico, Slovakia, to name just a few!
- We also gained more phenomenal Ambassador organizations including Cherry Hill High School East Random Acts of Kindness Club, Harvest Performance, and Hero House. Check out the rest here.
- Our global community now consists of 12,206 beautiful people.
What You Can Do Now:
- If you haven’t already done so, order your free You Matter cards. The deadline is Monday, 10/31/16 at 5:00 p.m. EST. Just send your mailing address to [email protected]. If you want to print your own You Matter cards, click here to download the template.
- Post a picture on Facebook when you receive your You Matter cards.
- Start thinking about who you want to give your precious You Matter cards to.
- Make sure you carry a few You Matter cards with you for those chance encounters. One of my hopes for all of us is that through the YMM we will begin to really see and acknowledge the people we encounter in our daily lives.

We are working very hard to get your cards mailed to you. Due to the unprecedented volume of orders we’ve had to secure more material (like 50,000 more You Matter cards!) which has delayed our process a bit. We hope to be caught up by Monday.
