You Matter Moment of the Week
“I carry my You Matter cards with me, and because I only had a few, I was giving them out sparingly. However, I started making You Matter bracelets and now I can continue bringing joy to individuals who need to be reminded that they DO matter! I love the look on a random person’s face when I hand them a You Matter bracelet or a You Matter card. It brings such joy to them, and it’s important to me, too!
It’s so important for people to know they DO matter, no matter what they’ve been told or how they might feel about themselves. Giving the You Matter cards to people reinforces the concept that everyone matters, and THEY matter, too! I love this marathon and hope more people will start participating!
I’ve seen some great big smiles on people’s faces when I give them a card or a bracelet. One lady in our local grocery store looked really down and defeated. I said hello to her and handed her the card and my handmade bracelet. She asked if she could hug me! Of course, I hugged her back tightly and she started crying. She said she especially needed to hear that she mattered that day!
This marathon has made me more aware of those around me, those who need a lift, and those who feel they don’t matter! Every time I give a card or a bracelet, I am impacted by joy and love!”
