You Matter Moment of the Week
“Some people don’t think they matter. When I give them a card, I usually get a tear, a smile or a hug. Everyone needs to know they matter. I love what telling someone they matter does to the recipient, and even more, what it has done to me.
I have been giving out cards for over a year now and have received so many wonderful responses. My latest one was at the airport boarding a plane. I saw a flight attendant and gave her a card. She instantly gave me big hug and welcomed me aboard. Half way through the flight she came down our aisle with another flight attendant ahead of her. The other flight attendant asked, “are you the You Matter lady?’ I said yes, and she thanked me for the card. They hung it on the top of a clip board right in front of the pilot’s cockpit. It might have made them feel good, but I was feeling so good to have made someone’s day.”
