It’s World Mental Health Day
You Mind Matters (and You Matter!)
Every year on October 10th, the world comes together to recognize World Mental Health Day. This day is a powerful reminder that mental health is just as crucial as physical health, and it deserves our attention, care, and action.
We all experience ups and downs in life, but when those challenges become overwhelming, negatively impacting our daily lives, it’s vital to prioritize our mental well-being.
Why World Mental Health Day Matters
- 1 in 4 people will experience a mental health condition in their lifetime.1
- Mental health challenges can be successfully managed with treatment and support.
- By prioritizing mental health, we create a more inclusive and empathetic world.
How to Prioritize Your Mental Health
- Practice Self-Care: Make time for activities you enjoy, like spending time in nature, exercising, or connecting with loved ones.
- Learn to Say No: Don’t overload yourself. It’s okay to set boundaries and prioritize your well-being.
- Talk Openly: Share your struggles with trusted friends and family. Talking about mental health reduces stigma and fosters support.

You matter.
