“I think it’s very important to let other people know that no matter what happens in life, there is always someone who cares.
I was at my car dealership for service when I saw a lovely lady crying and not having a great morning. So I wrote a message on the You Matter card letting her know that no matter what the circumstances were, she was a priority. When they called me for my car, I gave the woman the card and left. A few moments later she came to the checkout area and asked me if she could hug me. We hugged and she told me, ‘Thank you. You have no idea how much this means to me. Thank you.’
I felt that I made a difference for a tiny moment in this lady’s life. What a great feeling. It made me realize how a simple act can have a wonderful effect.
