You Matter Moment of the Week
“I gave my free You Matter cards to the teachers at my daughter’s high school. I also gave cards to the teachers who volunteer at a religious school in our community. Often teachers must pitch in for their own supplies due to budget cuts. Teachers take time to educate our kids and that’s the greatest gift.
I also give cards to our custodians. While they are often overlooked, we know the schools would not be clean without them.
I love participating in the You Matter Marathon. Giving out these cards is a small gesture that can mean the world. Someone may be going through the mundane daily routine at work, but receiving a You Matter card could be the highlight of their day. Some people may even be inclined to pay it forward. We’re all tiny ripples. I feels great to be part of this movement.”
